Alerus Expands Commercial Banking Expertise with Addition of Kelly Elkin

MINNETONKA, MINNESOTA (July 18, 2023) – Alerus is pleased to announce the addition of Kelly Elkin as a commercial banking executive specializing in nonprofit and government lending.

Elkin has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, with extensive expertise in government and nonprofit lending, capital markets, Community Reinvestment Act, and grant-making. She is a decades-long advocate for community and economic development and is a skilled collaborator with nonprofits, government agencies, community development financial institutions, and the private sector to finance projects and programs that equitably support the needs of diverse communities. Before joining Alerus, Elkin spent seven years as a manager of government and nonprofit banking at Old National Bank. She previously served as senior vice president of nonprofit services at Minnesota Bank & Trust.
