Al Villalon
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Al Villalon joined Alerus as chief financial officer in January 2022. He has over 25 years of industry experience, including distinct background in financial analysis and investor relations. He most recently served as Deputy Director of Investor Relations and Senior Vice President at U.S. Bank. Prior to U.S. Bank, he spent most of his career in equity analyst research roles including serving as a Senior Research Analyst at Thrivent Asset Management, and a Senior Research Analyst at Nuveen Asset Management/First American Funds Advisors.
Mr. Villalon holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
