Chris Moen serves as a financial advisor in the Northern Valley market. He specializes in providing clients with holistic financial planning, including retirement planning, investment management, estate planning, and risk management. He works closely with clients to determine goals, implement financial plans to achieve those goals, and monitors their plans on an ongoing basis. He enjoys creating long-term relationships with clients and helping them throughout their entire financial journey.
Chris joined Alerus in July 2015 and has nearly 20 years of experience in financial services. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business, with a focus on entrepreneurship, from the University of North Dakota. Chris is active in his community and frequently volunteers his expertise and time to local organizations. He currently serves as a board member for the North Dakota Small Business Development Center, the Grand Forks (North Dakota) Downtown Development Association, and Spectra Health. He also serves on the finance committee at Christus Rex UND campus church.
A native of Grand Forks, Chris and his wife Marilee have two daughters. In his free time, Chris is a voracious reader of finance and business books, participates in martial arts, golfing, and enjoys spending time with his family.
