Cole Keney
Senior Business Advisor
Cole Keney’s entire banking career has been with Alerus. He started working for Alerus in 2003 as a part-time employee while in college and since has continued to develop, grow, and learn new skills resulting in several promotions.
In his current role of senior business advisor, Cole is the primary point of contact for his clients — a “general practitioner” of banking. He is at the center of the client relationship and takes the time to understand their unique needs. Cole focuses on the best way to help clients achieve their financial goals by providing competitive products, valuable insight, sound advice, and holistic services in collaboration with specialists throughout Alerus. Cole takes great pride in working with clients and doing whatever he can to be there when they need him.
Cole currently serves on the board of directors for Dakota Business Lending. He is a past board member for the North Central Chapter of the RMA and the Fargo-Moorhead AM Rotary Club. He was a founding board member for Rebuilding Together and has served in various roles for the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, he was named to Prairie Business Magazine’s “40 under 40” list.
A native of Bismarck, North Dakota, Cole now lives in Fargo with his wife, Missy, and their two daughters.
