Dexter Albrecht joined Alerus in May 2019 and has nearly 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in assisting clients with holistic financial planning focusing in the areas of retirement planning, investment management, estate planning, risk management, and insurance planning. Dexter works closely with clients to determine goals, implement financial plans to achieve those goals, and monitor the plan on an ongoing basis. He enjoys creating long-term relationships with clients and helping them be prepared for any financial implication that may arise throughout life.
He holds Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and the chartered financial consultant designation from the American College of Financial Services. He is currently working toward obtaining the certified financial planner designation. He is an active member of the University of North Dakota Booster Board.
Originally from Langdon, North Dakota, he lives in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, with his wife, Clare, and their daughters. In his free time, Dexter enjoys reading, continuous learning, sports, cooking, watching his daughters’ activities, and spending time with family and friends.
