Jeff Hoplin handles a variety of duties involving portfolio management for individual and institutional investors. His approach focuses on client needs and goals, including taking the time to understand the client’s investment needs and objectives. He enjoys helping clients understand investment strategies and how to structure a portfolio to achieve desired goals.
Raised outside of Buxton, ND, Jeff attended the University of North Dakota and graduated with a degree in mathematics. While attending UND, he was active in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, played football, and was named to the NCC Academic All-Conference Team. Upon graduation, he taught mathematics and coached in the Grand Forks school system before entering the investment field in 1985. With over 33 years of experience in the investment management and financial planning industry, Jeff has gained an impressive amount of expertise and insight to share with his clients. He is a CFP®professional, and holds Series 7 and 24 registrations and insurance licenses.
Jeff has been actively involved in numerous professional and civic groups. He is a corporate member of Altru Health System, board president of the NE North Dakota Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is active as a teacher at Faith Evangelical Free church. Jeff is past president of the UND Letterwinners Association and the Sioux Booster Club. He is a father of four grown children and resides in Grand Forks with his wife, Lisa.
