Senior Business Advisor
Jeff Wosje joined Alerus in 2018. He started out his career on the ground floor as a teller with Northwestern National Bank — now known as Wells Fargo, where he worked for 25 years. He has spent the majority of that time in commercial banking, helping small businesses with their banking needs. He also spent six years with post-merger integration work when Wells and Norwest merged.
Jeff and his family moved to Plymouth, Minn., in 2000, and he is active in the local community. In addition to serving on the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Foundation, he serves on the City Council, currently in his seventh year. Jeff also serves on the Transportation Advisory Board of the Metropolitan Council, past chair and current member of the Suburban Transit Association, a member of the Hennepin and Carver County Workforce Investment Board, member and past president of the Plymouth Rotary Club, and member of the Wayzata School Community Education Advisory Board.
He and his wife, Tery, have been married over 32 years. They have five children — three boys and two girls. Jeff has spent many years coaching baseball and basketball. Jeff is a long-distance runner and typically runs two to three marathons a year. He also enjoys golf, hunting, and fishing.
Jeff grew up in Golden Valley and graduated from Armstrong Sr. High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota.
