Jeff Wangen

Jeff joined Alerus in 2011 and has more than 14 years of experience in the financial industry. His career has focused almost entirely on commercial banking in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
As a business advisor, Jeff is responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing significant customer portfolios in the areas of banking, retirement plans, and wealth management.
Jeff acts as the primary contact for new and existing customers, presents formal product proposals, and maintains ongoing prospects for new business development. He also coordinates with the appropriate product specialists to address specific financial objectives for customers.
He received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of North Dakota. He is an active Junior Achievement volunteer, president of the UND Booster Board of Directors, United Way volunteer and active with Grand Forks Builders and Traders. In his free time, Jeff enjoys being outdoors, cooking on one of his multiple smokers/grills and traveling. He and his wife, Jasmine, and their children, Gavin and Reagan, make their home in Grand Forks.
