Jim Collins
Executive Vice President and Chief Banking and Revenue Officer
Jim Collins joined Alerus as chief banking and revenue officer in May 2022. An accomplished executive with nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jim has extensive expertise in commercial banking. Before joining Alerus, he served as the Minnesota regional CEO and president of corporate banking for Old National Bank. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles for Anchor Bank over 13 years, including senior vice president of commercial banking, market president, region president, head of commercial and wealth. He served as director of commercial, community and wealth when the bank was acquired by Old National Bank in 2017.
Mr. Collins holds a bachelor’s degree in business/finance from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and served for 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and Marine Reserves as a non-commissioned officer. He is the head trap shooting coach for Totino-Grace High School and serves as a board member for Parenting with Purpose and Meda – the Metropolitan Economic Development Association. He lives in the Twin Cities with his wife and three children.
