Kari Vien joined Alerus in 2009 and has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. As a financial advisor, Kari enjoys taking a holistic approach to help clients identify, achieve, and monitor their financial wellness goals. She is dedicated to her clients’ success and provides comprehensive advice, develops personalized strategies, and collaborates with internal colleagues across Alerus to ensure clients have access to its full suite of diversified services.
Kari holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of North Dakota. She holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations and is licensed for life, health, annuity, and accident insurance in North Dakota and Minnesota. She is pursuing the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.
She resides in Grand Forks with her husband, Chad, their son, and the family’s Boston terrier. She has previously served the community in various capacities with Quota International and the United Way. In her spare time, Kari is actively involved with her church and enjoys spending time with family, reading, trying new recipes, and attending her son’s activities.
