Larry Stangler
SBA Lending Advisor
Larry Stangler joined Alerus in July 2022 through its merger with Metro Phoenix Bank, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, specializing in U.S. Small Business Administration and commercial lending. As an SBA lending advisor, he works closely with small- and mid-size business clients to guide them through the SBA loan process and develop loan structures and terms that best meet their unique needs. He has extensive experience in all aspects of SBA lending, including eligibility determination, loan structuring, underwriting, and closing. He enjoys finding creative solutions to issues his clients may be facing and assisting them in obtaining the most favorable outcomes for their business.
Before joining Alerus, Larry served as vice president of SBA and commercial lending at Metro Phoenix Bank, where he led the company’s SBA lending division and attained Preferred Lender status, which recognizes an established track record and expertise in processing, closing, and servicing SBA loans. He has served in a variety of roles at Phoenix-area financial institutions throughout his career, focusing on commercial banking and small business lending.
In his free time, Larry enjoys outdoor activities including snowboarding, golfing, and fishing. He and his wife Marnie live in Scottsdale, Arizona. They have three children.
