As a commercial banking executive, Leroy Benson leads commercial banking services for Alerus in the Minnesota and Fargo, North Dakota markets. He partners with clients to provide long-term financial support as their businesses grow and evolve and serves as a liaison to seamlessly connect them with Alerus specialists as needed to provide efficient, complete financial services that help businesses thrive and meet goals.
Leroy has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and has built extensive expertise in serving commercial businesses in the Twin Cities area. He has focused exclusively on commercial and business banking for nearly 20 years and has served in a variety of leadership roles at financial institutions throughout the Twin Cities.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and sociology from North Dakota State University. In his free time, Leroy likes to spend time outdoors and enjoys hiking, biking, and golfing. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Konni. They have four children.
