Maria Biessener leads the deposit, lending, wealth, retirement and records operations with sites in Grand Forks and Fargo, ND, Albert Lea, Arden Hills, Edina, and Oakdale, Minn.
Maria joined Alerus in 2018 and has more than 29 years of financial services industry experience in client service and operations, including banking operations, insurance service and operations, contact center operations, client service management, retirement plan design and administration, and system enhancements and automation.
Prior to joining Alerus, Maria managed operations for Wells Fargo, Watson Wyatt, State Street Bank and Trust, PNC Bank, Wachovia, and UnitedHealthcare.
Maria holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology as well as a mini MBA from University of St. Thomas, and successfully completed Advanced Management Systems’ intensive Managing Operations Course.
