Mark Yahna
Senior Business Advisor
Mark Yahna joined Alerus in 2019. As a senior business advisor, he works to understand the needs and goals of his clients, then serves as their trusted advisor to provide the solutions and advice that deliver the most value. Mark works closely with experts from around the company, including mortgage bankers, retirement specialists, and wealth advisors, to create a team tailored to the client’s specific needs.
Mark has more than 20 years of financial industry and banking experience, with extensive experience in both commercial and agricultural banking. Prior to joining Alerus, he held positions with a mid-sized financial institution in the Grand Forks and Larimore, North Dakota, markets, including agricultural banker, market manager, and vice president business banker. Mark’s roles in the retail financial industry provide him with a broad background to understand every client’s needs.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He currently serves on the Larimore Ambulance board of directors and on the Evolve ND board of directors. When not traveling, Mark enjoys riding his mountain bike, watching his children’s activities, and planning for the next adventure with his wife and six kids.
