Sam Haggard
Portfolio Banker
As a portfolio banker, Sam Haggard assists client with loan requests and loan portfolio management to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations at the local and federal levels. He also provides credit analysis for lending activities and serves as a point of contact for existing and new clients.
Sam has worked in the financial industry since 2018 and has expertise in credit analysis, commercial underwriting, and portfolio management. He joined Alerus in July 2022 through its merger with Metro Phoenix Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business communication from the W.P Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
In addition to his financial services career, Sam has played professional volleyball since 2019. He currently plays as an outside hitter for the Phoenix Ascension. He and his wife Rachel live in Chandler, Arizona.
