Throughout his nearly-30-year career in the financial industry, Scott has handled almost every aspect of commercial banking. His expertise and knowledge make him a valuable asset to both Alerus and to clients. Before joining Alerus, Scott started two successful banking offices in the Twin Cities, including the first bank established in Oakdale, Minn., in 1986.

Scott leads the commercial banking team for Alerus’ Twin Cities East Metro market. He enjoys working with clients and tailoring solutions to fit their needs.

A St. Paul native, Scott was a founding member and past president of the Oakdale Business Association. He currently belongs to the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, and the Oakdale Business Association. Additionally, Scott previously served as a board member of Neighborhood Development Alliance, and president and board member of Dellwood Hills Golf Club.

Scott received business administration and finance degrees from the University of Minnesota, where he played baseball with Paul Molitor. In his free time, this avid Twins fan can be found at the golf course or buying/selling ’60s and ’70s muscle cars. Scott and his wife, Patty, make their home in Woodbury along with their two yellow Labs.
